Located in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range in Victoria, the Lake Road House is a thoughtfully designed residence that embraces both its natural surroundings and modern living needs. The house is organized into three distinct pavilions, each with its own purpose to create a harmonious balance of privacy and connectedness.

The first pavilion houses the master bedroom and daily-use spaces, offering a serene retreat with seamless access to the outdoors. The central pavilion is dedicated to the main living areas, designed to be the heart of the home where family and friends can gather. At the opposite end, the third pavilion serves as a guest wing, ensuring privacy and comfort for visitors. This layout allows for fluid circulation between the spaces while maintaining distinct zones for different activities.

With privileged views of the surrounding forest and an emphasis on capturing northern light, the house is designed to create a strong connection between the indoor and outdoor environments. Expansive glazing, strategically placed throughout, frames the lush landscape, bringing the outside in and flooding the interiors with natural light.

The material palette is a refined mix of luxury and low-maintenance materials, chosen to enhance both aesthetics and functionality. Natural stone, timber, and high-performance cladding create a timeless and robust exterior, while warm, textured finishes inside add a sense of comfort and elegance. The result is a home that exudes both sophistication and practicality, perfectly suited to its unique setting.
